Terms of Use

These terms of use (the “Terms of Use ”) shall regulate any use of the www.mitcentre.com website and/or its contents (the “Website”).

By using the Website you are acknowledging that you have read and accepted these Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions. You should not use the Website if you are not happy with any of the terms and conditions contained therein.

About Us
This website is owned and operated by Malta International Training Centre Limited, a limited liability company lawfully registered under the laws of Malta, having company registration number C 5663 and having its registered office at Centris Business Gateway II, Level 4,
Triq is-Salib tal-Imriehel Zone 3, Central Business District, Birkirkara, CBD3020 (the “MITC”).

The MITC is officially recognised by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education, and is licenced under the Education Act Chapter 327 of the laws of Malta.

Course/CPD/Workshop Details, Access & Recording
All the details of the Course/CPD/Workshop you are registering for, including costs and outline, can be found on the relevant webpage on the MITC’s website. Some of the events advertised on this website include lunches and / or snacks, which will be served at the training venue. Should you require a special menu (e.g. vegetarian, lactose free), please inform the MITC so that this can be arranged, by emailing us on admin@mitcentre.com or phoning on +356 2777 2777. Please note that whenever an event includes meals, the price advertised is inclusive of such meals, unless otherwise stated.

The trainee will receive access to the online Course/CPD/Workshop via a unique link provided by the MITC. The attendee must not share this link with anyone else nor should they share their screen with anyone else. Trainees are required to display their full names (name and surname) on the screen for attendance recording. If this is not feasible, attendees must notify the MITC of their identity through the chat function on the platform being used. MITC reserves the right to remove from the Course/CPD/Workshop any individual whose username does not conform with these requirements.

Online courses, CPDs, and workshops are subject to recording. Any unauthorised third-party recording of these sessions or any portion thereof is strictly prohibited.

Exams                                                                                                                                                                                                        Exams following courses carried out online, in person or in blended format, will be carried out in person, unless otherwise specified by MITC. Participants will receive a hardcopy of the exam questions and replies are to be handwritten in the booklet/s provided by the invigilator. These booklets will be collected by the invigilator at the end of the exam.

Provision will be made for any individual who has a medical condition due to which they cannot provide a handwritten reply. In this case a medical certificate will need to be provided.

The attendee (or authorised representative thereof) must pay the registration fee in full as soon as possible, following registration and by no later than 7 days from the start of the Course/CPD/Workshop.

A 25% cancellation fee is payable for cancellations received within 15 days before the start of the programme. No refund will be issued after the commencement date of the programme. The MITC reserves the right to issue credits for cancellations at its sole discretion, provided there is a valid reason supported by documented evidence, as necessary and requested by the MITC. Replacement delegates may be nominated at any time.

All cancellations and substitution requests must be submitted in writing to admin@mitcentre.com.

Application for funding
If the applicant is applying for external funds rather than self-financing or employer-sponsored support, any administrative support and necessary documentary evidence for the application will be provided at no extra cost. After payment has been made (and in accordance with the timelines provided above under ‘Payments’), failure to submit the funding application or related documentation requested, withdrawal of the funding application, or rejection by the adjudicating entity will not be considered as valid reasons for refund of any payments made. Furthermore, proceeding with a funding application implies the applicant’s acknowledgment of full responsibility for adhering to all criteria outlined by the relevant fund.

The MITC reserves the right to cancel/postpone the Course/CPD/Workshop at any time, for any reason, before the start of the Course/CPD/Workshop. Changes to dates and times will be notified at least 24 hours before the start of the session. In case that the Course/CPD/Workshop is cancelled by the MITC for any particular reason, the registration fee will be fully refundable.

Conditions of Use
The facility to solicit or purchase attendance to any of the course and/or services provided by virtue of the Website, is exclusively available to persons over the age of eighteen (18) years. Any persons under eighteen (18) years of age wishing to attend the aforementioned courses shall be permitted to do so, subject to registration being performed for and on their behalf by their lawful guardian.

The provision of any services acquired by virtue of this Website shall be regulated by the MITC’s Terms and Conditions.

You acknowledge that we may use your personal information and data according to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated herein by this reference.

Any use of this Website which contravenes any applicable laws, regulations, rules or policies is expressly prohibited, and any user who commits any such crime or contravention by virtue of this Website shall be fully liable for any direct or indirect damages arising thereto and shall fully indemnify the MITC from any claims and/or damages arising in respect thereto, without limitation.

Site Content & Intellectual Property
Any and all content and/or information available on the Website (the “Site Content”) shall constitute the exclusive intellectual property of the MITC, unless otherwise indicated, and is exclusively intended for the non-commercial use of any users of the Website.

Any and all intellectual property rights arising from, or with respect to, the Site Content or this Website, shall be attributable solely and exclusively to the MITC; including any registered or unregistered trademarks, tradenames, patents, copyright, or other similar rights.

Subject to your full compliance with your obligations arising from these Terms of Use, you shall be authorised to view, copy, print, and/or distribute Site Content, provided that any distribution of Site Content shall not purport to exclude reference to the MITC or its ownership of the Site Content.

The content presented in any Course/CPD/Workshop, including but not limited to materials, slides, and videos, is the intellectual property of MITC or the trainer. You may not reproduce or distribute any of the content without the MITC’s express permission. Any request for such reproduction or distribution must be made beforehand in writing to admin@mitcentre.com.

Any and all modification, re-appropriation, or reverse engineering of the Site Content and/or the Website, as well as any reproduction or use of any software, proprietary processes, or technology embedded or described in the Website, is expressly prohibited.
