Chartered Insurance Institute (CII)
The CII is a professional body for the global insurance and financial planning profession, dedicated to building trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. With 125,000 members in 150 countries, the CII promotes higher standards of integrity, technical competence and business capability. The CII is accredited by UK examinations regulator, Ofqual, and qualifications are also recognised within the English national qualification frameworks. Success in CII qualifications is universally recognised as evidence of knowledge and understanding. Membership of the CII signals a desire to develop broad professional capability and to subscribe to the standards associated with professional status.
Ghana Insurance College (GIC)
The GIC is an educational institution which was established by 2006 by four of the major stakeholders of the Ghanaian Insurance Industry; National Insurance Commission (NIC), Ghana Insurance Brokers Association (GIBA), the Ghana Insurance Association (GIA) and the Insurance Institute of Ghana (IIG) to provide training and education for all levels of insurance professionals, who will champion the advancement of ethical insurance practices and professional competence in the industry.
