The Insurance Foundation certificate known as “IFC” is a UK qualification set by the reputable Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK. It consists of the attainment of 3 exams amassing a total of 45 CII credits thus achieving the 40 CII credit threshold required to complete the full qualification. The successful candidate will be awarded a CII certificate and may bear the post nominals CERTCII following their name.
The courses that are run by MITC, will prepare the student to take the IFC multiple choice examinations and will cover relevant areas of insurance products, practice and regulation among others.
The Certificate in Insurance is a recognised, stand-alone qualification. It is the first step to becoming professionally qualified. Students will be prepared for units, IF1 (compulsory), IF2 and IF3. The 2-hour examination is ‘multiple-choice’ based and each accumulates 15 CII credits.
The Certificate in Insurance is complete upon the attainment of 40 CII credits and entitles successful candidates to use the designation ‘Cert CII’.

Lectures will be held on the following dates, between 5.30 – 7.00 pm
Up to 10 sessions per unit of 1.5 hours, held between 1730-1900hrs. A further 40 hours of self-study are required for each of the units chosen.
There are no entry requirements for this course. The certificate in insurance is a product certified by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Students taking the examination will make arrangements with the CII directly, for the purchasing of the course reading material and to apply for the examination.
