NEW: CII FOUNDATION COURSE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The Award in General Insurance is a UK qualification provided by the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK), designed for Non-UK practitioners and replaces the previously offered IF1.
This course is a stand-alone qualification that is conferred by the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK and provides the holder with 15 CII credits which can be used in the further progression of insurance studies.
To equip the student with basic but broad knowledge on insurance principles and practice and also to provide knowledge on the macro environment within which the insurance industry operates.

The sessions scheduled for January 29th and February 21st are revision sessions.
12 sessions of 1.5 hours held between 1730-1900hrs. A further 40 hours of self-study is recommended.
2 revision sessions of 1.5 hours each will be held as per schedule.
There are no entry requirements for this course however, a good command of the English language is expected. The CII recommends ‘O’ level standard of education.
This programme is suitable for those who require a basic understanding of insurance and who wish to pursue a career through the attainment of qualifications in insurance. It is ideal for new entrants in the market, employees working for insurance companies and all participants requiring credits towards the CII qualifications. It is the first step towards the achievement of further Insurance qualifications.

The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions to be attempted in 2 hours. The pass mark is set at 70%.
