Overview
Insurance safeguards the potential losses of those facing risks. In the context of personal lines, this covers all potential mishaps that are experienced by individuals in their personal capacity. Therefore, it is immediately apparent that we are referring to risks that threaten the assets, health and wellbeing of people in a society.
The scope of the personal lines insurance training programme is to provide the participant with knowledge of the various classes typical of this class. These include insurance for households, caravans, domestic animals, legal expenses, personal protection, extended warranty, bicycles, small crafts, life assurance, personal accident and health among others. The programme also explains the underwriting and claims aspects associated with such personal lines, together with related processes.
Lecturers on this programme are both experienced and knowledgeable and bring to the learning environment, the practical aspects related to this area of insurance, thereby enriching the learning experience throughout.
Successful candidates will be eligible to claim for 20 CII insurance credits, which are valid for the attainment of the prestigious DIPCII qualification of the Chartered Insurance Institute. The full DIPCII Diploma requires 120 credits in total to complete.
