10 Jul 2020

The Personal Insurance Programme organised and delivered by the MITC, has been designed with the practitioner in mind and includes aspects of insurance related to personal lines as well as practical examples of the real world.

What are the benefits of this programme?

Candidates taking this programme benefit from the wide understanding of a variety of personal insurance products including but not restricted to household insurance, caravans and boats insurance, legal expenses insurance, personal protection, life assurance and health insurance to name a few. The programme will delve into the operational aspects of underwriting and claims handling associated with such classes of business.

The objective of this programme is to provide the participant with the technical knowledge, not only to successfully assist in taking the corresponding exam, but also to provide the necessary competences to be able to perform duties in this field.

Who can apply?

Anyone is eligible to apply and working in an insurance environment (although a benefit) is not an entry requirement, as the programme caters for all levels.

Those successfully completing this programme will be awarded a certificate which the Malta Qualifications Council deems to be at Level 4 on the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) and on the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) for Lifelong Learning. Moreover, successful candidates are eligible to apply for 20 CII credits from the Chartered Insurance Institute – UK.
