1. What credit requirements are necessary to obtain CII qualifications?
There are 3 levels of qualification in insurance and for the attainment of each repspective level a number of credits must be achieved.
A summary of these requirements are noted in the following table:
| Certificate in Insurance (CERT CII) | You must accumulate a minimum of 40 credits. Unit IF1 is compulsory. | A core qualification covering basic insurance principles. |
| Diploma in Insurance (DIP CII) | You must accumulate 120 credits with at least 90 at Diploma level or above. Units P92 (Business and Finance) and P05 (Insurance Law) are compulsory. | A technical  qualification providing firm grounding in insurance fundamentals and advanced technical skills. |
| Advanced Diploma (ACII) | You must accumulate 290 credits with a minimum of 205 at Diploma or Advanced Diploma Level and 90 at Advanced Level. There are no compulsory units however candidates must sit for 1 examination directly with the CII. | A professional qualification providing enhanced understanding of insurance practice both in terms of technical subject matter and overall application skills. |
